Rappahannock 4-H members With Light Horse or Pony projects have been invited to participate in the Madison County Horse and Pony Show Saturday, May 14th. A total of - twenty-seven classes will be held including: Fitting and Showmanship for: Beginners, Juniors and Seniors; Hunter Seat, Stock Seat, Reining, Outside Course for small and large ponies and Hunters, Pleasure Classes, Hack Classes, Barrel Racing, and Jumping. ff Other details are available at the County Extension Ser■: vice office or from Mrs. Joyce

Sheep Shearing School will : be held at the Beef Cattle Research Station, Front Royal ’ April 29th. All attending will be instructed in the art of shearing. Also the district -‘ shearing contest will be held at conclusion of the school j to determine the Northern Ex' tension District winner, who ! will compete in the State Contest held at Short Course. The state winner is given an all expense trip to the National Contest sponsored by the Sunbeam Corporation. In „ past year8 awards at the National have included valuable college scholarships.
This year Rappahannock has 440 boys and girls enrolled in 4-H. Volunteer adult, community and club leaders are in dire need to help these future citizens grow in citizetv
