The plan, entitled “Rappahannock USDA County Defense Board Emergency Operating Plan", covers actions that will aid in the protection and survival of those living in the county. It deals specifically with the identification of county acreages of all crops, livestock numbers, water resources, land capabilities, wholesale houses, and processing facilities. Priorities have been established for use by the board and members in carrying out emergency action such as radiological monitoring activities and damage assessment. It also covers the organization and functions of the board including individual agency assignments. It spells out the need for coordination of effort and liaison with other federal, state and local officials and with other groups having emergency and defense responsibilities. vThe chairman said that much thought and work has been ffiy&i to developing a plan for Rappahannock County. As changes in resource and technical data become available, tjjhe plan must be revised and updated to reflectscur|ent situations.
