Last week, the Highway Corrv mission tentatively approved allocations totaling more than $165 million for construction on Virginia's interstate, arterial and other primary roads. Final approval on these allocations, for fiscal 1966-67 won't come until after public hearings in Roanoke and Richmond in June. Allocation to Rappahannock County for the secondary system for the 1966-67 fiscal year which begins July 1 is $274,094. In the arterial highway network of the primary system, at Massles Corner, east and west, $850,000 (supplemental allocation for right of way acquired and to continue dual-lanlng). In the regular primary system an allocation has been made for $45,000 for asphaltic concrete surfacing of Route 522 from Flint Hill north.
