Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Brown of Sperryville announce the marriage of their daughter, Carolyn Warfield to Maurice Lee Butler of Alexandria. Mr. Butler is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Butler, Sr. of Boston. The double ring ceremony was performed ^t the Washington Memorial Christian Church in Selsia, Maryland on April 27, 19$6. The couple are residing in A lexandria after returning from a trip to Saranac Lake, N. Y. and Montreal, Quebec.

■ The regular meeting of the 'Chester Gap Home Demonstr* tion Club met last Thursday night in the home of Mrs. Stanley Williams with seven members present. The demon stration on ‘The Use of the Home Freezer" was given by Mrs. Doris Morgan. Mrs. Ruby Wines and daughter Janet were last Friday visitors in Winchester. Mr. and Mrs. Ermand Morris and family visited Mr. and Mrs. Lalbert Morris Sunday at Linden. Pfc. Floyd Lilly who has spent a 20 day leave with Mrs. Lilly in the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Albert Williams returned Mon day to Walter Reed Hospital for further operations. Mrs. Gilbert Smith of Buckton spent several days last week with Mrs. "Pet^ Smith. Mrs. Smith, who has been ill with the ‘flu* returned home
