The illustrated booklet, called "Things to Know About Medicare" features simple language. Produced for use in jperation: Medicare Alert, a joint project of the Social Se:urity Administration and the Dffice of Economic Opportunity in which older people were working to get Medicare information to shut-ins and other bard-to-reach groups in the alder population, the booklet is also available at the Social Security Office ir^y/ipchester. The eight-page booklet shows how the two parts of Medicare will work, and reminds people now past 65 to sign up for the doctor bill insurance by May 31st if they want its protection beginning July 1st.
