Government Ladies Feted with Luncheon
Ladies in Government inVir ginia were honored with a luncheon Monday during the annual meeting of the Virginia Association of Counties which was held at the Natural Bridge Hotel, Natural Bridge, October 16, 17, 18. Included on the list of honored guests was Mrs Dorothy C. Davis, Mayor of the Town of Washington. She was accompanied to the meeting by her husband, George H. Davis, Jr., Commonwealth’s Attorney of Rappahannock.
At the luncheon the contribution which women in government across the state have made was recognized. Among ladies introduced were those in positions of County Clerks, Commissioners of Revenue, Treasurers and even a Deputy Sheriff. Mrs. A. Lee Fritschler, A» sistant Director for Research National Association of Counties was the guest speaker.
