4-H County Council
Elects Officers
The Rappahannock 4-H Coun ty Council met October 15, 1966 at Washington Elementary School. The meeting was called to order by Carty Moffett, president. Bobby Weakley led the group in the 4-H pledge and motto. Amy Palmer, secretary, read the minutes and called the roll. The financial report was given by Susan Dodson. The president read the County Council Goals to the group. New goals set were; 4 ten dollar scholarships will be given to 4-H camp instead of 7 five dollar scholarships and the County Council will do more for National 4-H Club Week. The group also decided to remove the goal requiring the erection of a 4-H sign on the Madison Road, since this had already been done. Betsy Williams, song leader, then led the group in several songs. Refreshments and a social circle followed. When the meeting reconvened the officers for 1966-67 were elected. They are: Presi dent - Carty Moffett; VicePresident -Amy Palmer; Secretary - Bobby Weakley; Treasurer - Joanne van Brederode; Song Leader - Bill Snead; Reporter - Sandra Foster; and Devotional Leader - Susan Dodson. The group then divided for officer training classes at the end of which the meeting was adjourned.
