The regular meeting of the Rappahannock County Volunteer Firemen’s Association will be held Friday, November 18 at 8 p.m. at the Castleton fire house. All members of all volunteer fire departments In the county are urged to attend.

Gorgeous George Best

Gorgeous George made his debut, not in the fight ring but in the show ring, Sunday at a fun match dog, show held at the National Guard'A-rtnory-in Warrenton where he was judged the best of breed. George, a St. Bernard, is the sole protector of Mrs. Mary Hill Ingersoll of Reva, formerly a resident of Castleton. Mrs. Ingersoll raises St. Bernards for sale, however, she had never entered any in a show before, but after some contemplation decided now was the time. Sunday dawned bright and clear and Gorgeous George was bathed and powdered, and even had fur conditioner applied. He was a joy to behold, all 200 pounds of him. George was proud, too, and felt that before he left on his trip he should relate the news of the upcoming event to his dearest friends, who happened to be Charlie Brown’s pigs As Mrs. Ingersoll readied her car for the trip to Warrenton, George appeared around the corner of a building black and dripping from his paws up
