Minor Fish Law Changes
The Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries proposed only 2 minor changes in fishing regulations for the coming year. Executive Director Chester F. Phelps announced. One proposal would not require persons fishing in the South Fork of the Shenandoah River from National Forest lands to have a Nation al Forest stamp. The main area affected would be the George Washington National Forest’s newly developed Hazzard Mill Recreation Area. A second proposal would allow Sunday fishing on National Forest lands in Alleghany, Bath, Highland and Rockbridge Counties. Sunday fishing has been permitted on Game Commission lands in these counties for several years.
