Auto Strikes Deer
A deer was struck by an automobile Saturday evening about 8:30 p. m. on Route 211 a. mile west of Washington. Patsy Katherine Clark of Bethesda, Md. operating a 62 Pontiac struck the animal which had to be shot. Damage to her vehicle was estimated at $150 said Trooper J. B. Willis, who investigated.

She grabbed the box, did as directions said (although it did not say what strength to use on a St. Bernard just having wallowed in a pig sty). Well, to make a clean breast of things, George was indeed gorgeous and went on to win best of breed in the show. St. Bernards are considered by many to be the noblest breed of dogs, and George is a descendant of the lifesaving “Hospice” St. Bernards of Switzerland. He is also the proud owner of one of theorigi nal brandy kegs used by his ancestors in the Alps. The keg was brought to him by Mrs. James W. Fletcher ofSperryville when she returned from a trip abroad. George has been trained by Mrs. Ingrid Strawser who has a kennel near Amissville and is very active in promoting shows and obedience training.
