Achievement Day
Approximately thirty homemakers and guests attended the 1966 Homemaker’s Achievement Program held Saturday, at the Flint Hill Fire House. Highlights of the day included an interesting pro gram presented by Mrs. James Smith and Mrs. James Bennett on tjieir respective hobbies of painting and of making pottery. Exhibits by each of the four clubs included the making of Flemish and Chelsey Floral arrangements, attractive informal table settings. basic knitting and staining of glass. The door prize consisting of a live forever candle was won by Mrs. Will Putnam of Flint Hill. During the refreshment hour following the program the ladies were able to socialize with other H. D. members In the county. All attending agreed that the days program was most interesting and urge more to make plans to attend the meeting next year.
