Old Area Home ^

The home of Ted Settle near Viewtown was destroyed) by fire Saturday night. The house reportedly one of the oldest in the area, and the entire contents were completely con sumed by the blaze. Mr. Settle was an avid collector Of antiques, all of which were burn ed. Origin of the fire was not determined. The telephone wires-were burned rendering the instrument useless for summoning aid, and affecting the whole party line. By the time a working phone was found and Castleton, Amissville and Culpeper fire companies responded, their efforts were fruitless.
