Among questions asked by Mrs. Bruce were why the dog warden’s mileage was limited to $13.33 a month and when he has traveled this amount should he refuse to answer calls: is a salary of $85 per month realistic for the position; how could the warden become a member of the State Retirement System; What are rules for paying animal claims (payment of $700 sheep claim cited); has the Board considered increase in dog tax; since all expenses have increased would it be desirable to increase tax. Mrs. Bruce suggested a review of the past 16 years as to revenue collected, yearly salary for warden during that period and amount of claims paid.
