Income Tax Returns Filed on Increase
According to the records of he Internal Revenue Service Center in Philadelphia, 1,494, 738 Virginia taxpayers filed Federal individual income tax returns from January tlirough May, 1967. This is an increase of 5.4 percent over the number of returns filed during the same jeriod in 1966, James p. Boyle District Director of Internal Revenue for Virginia, saidtoiay.
