According to the number of entries listed, the firemen’s parade scheduled for tonight in Sperryville will be the largest ever to take place there. The mammoth parade is held in connection with the annual Firemen’s Carnival which opened last night for a four night engagement. Parade time is 7 p.m. EDT. Included in the line-up is a variety of bands, floats, individual and group majorectes, honorary fire chiefs, forty pieces of fire fighting equipment, 20 rescue squads, comic entries, antique cars, Ladies Auxiliary groups, and horses and ponies. Bands scheduled to be present are John S. Mosby Academy, W. C. Taylor High School Charlestown High School, Harpers Ferry High School, and Stafford County Band. A large attendance is anticipated, so go early for good iparking and adequate viewing of the parade. It is a great place to meet old friends and make new ones. A box supper including old Virginia ham and fried chicken will be available at the food
