Friday morning Trooper Willis investigated a collision involving a farm tractor and an auto. This occurred at the entrance to Eldon, farm of j W. N. Lane. A 1948 Farmalll M Tractor operated by Michael Titchenell of Woodville! pulling a hay wagon was turn- ; ing into the lane' of the farm; when it was struck by a 64 Pontiac operated by Jeremiah Lindsay Thomas, Jr. of Richmond. There were no injuries and no charges were made.
Amusville Auxiliary Requests Carnival Aid
The Amissville Ladies Auxi- i liary is requesting contribu-! tions of fried chicken, deviled; eggs and potato salad for box suppers to be served Thursday August 10 in connection with the annual firemen’s carnival parade. Please contact either Mrs. Russell Hackley or Mrs. Charlie Compton and let them know what you might give. There will be someone at the food stand on the carnival grounds from 2 to 4:30p.m. to receive food. Cakes and pies or other home made baked goods will be needed for the food stand also for every night of the carnival, Wednesday through Saturday, August 9—12. Contact Mrs. Willie Hackley or Mrs. Barbara Williams and let them know what you can bring and on which night or nights. Plans are progress for the white elephant stand under the direction of Mrs. Ralph Rowzie and Mrs. Paul Suter. Saleable items which you no longer need or use will be appreciated for this stand. According to Auxiliary president, Mrs. Edith Hackley, there will not be a meeting of theAmissvilleAuxi liary in August.
