Jane Yost of Roanoke, the newly crowned “Miss Virginia, will make one of her first public appearances on Thursday, August 3, at the Flint Hill Firemen’s Parade. She will appear as a special guest on the Pepsi Cola Float through the courtesy of the Pepsi-Coia Bottling Company. Miss Yost won her title in Roanoke on July 15 after presenting a piano solo. She will assist Rebecca Alkire, “Miss American Teenager ”, in the awarding of prizes to parade winners. Miss Yost will represent Virginia in the “Miss America” Pageant at Atlantic City in September.
