Traffic Crashes
Two vehicles collided on Rt. 231 Sunday morning two and half miles south of Sperryville, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin. A 65 Chevrolet operated by Harold Bernard Berry of Charlottesville and owned by Pearl H. Carper of Winchester was sideswiped by Pari Wilson Dodson of Washington, Va, -The 63 Chevrolet operated by Dodson was owned by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth - J. Dodson.
There were no injuries and damage was estimated at$350 to each vehicle. Dodson was charged with reckless driving. Last Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. a single-car crash occurred on Route 522 between Sperryville and Woodville. A 67 Plymouth hardtop operated by Eugene Benton Atkins of Sperryville and owned by Rebecca Joyce Atkins of Sperryville, was involved. Atkins lost control of the vehicle on a straight section of highway, ran off the right, then back across and off the left of the highway into a field, He was charged with reckless driving.
