A memorial service was held in Wayzata on Wednesday, December 20. A local memorial service will be held at “Turkey. Hill" on Saturday, December 23 at 11 a. m. According to Mr. Wells’wishes the hunt will move off from “Turkey Hill" following the service. The family has requested that contributions to the Stuart Wells Day Camp be made in lieu of flowers.
Ernest G. Thornhill
A funeral service was held Saturday at the Geest Funeral Chapel for Ernest Gabriel Thornhill, 72, of Culpeper who died Wednesday, December 13, 1967 at Newton D. Baker Veteran’s Hospital, Martinsburg, W. Va., following a long illness. The. Rev. John S. Farrar feWlcfetfed and interment was In Fairview Cemetery. Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars served as pallbearers.
Mr. Thornhill, a native of Rappahannock County, was the son of the late Gabriel and Fannie Vaughn Thornhill. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church at Scrabble. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Letitia Elliott Thornhill; two sons, Robert H. Thornhill and William E. Thornhill, both of Culpeper and nine grandchildren.
