Study of Spending
Rep. John O. Marsh, Jr., (D., Va.) has joined^a Congressional effort to provide for a bipartisan legislative study of existing and proposed federal spending programs. “It is obvious that the federal deficit situation demands an urgent evaluation of programs with a view to bringing order out of the unplanned spending situation," Marsh said; “there is a real need to have most efficient techniques in considering the budget--the federal funding methods between the executive and legislative! branch are badly in need oi| modernization."
