A good creep ration will contain mostly ground or cracked shelled corn. Do not use corn and cob meal in the early creep ration. The creep ration should also contain about 10 pounds to the hundredweight of soybean or other protein meal Five to 10 percent molasses will help the ration. Some! wheat or wheat bran and a small amount of oats can also1 be used in the creep ration.; Some sheepmen also add a vita min supplement and, in some I cases, antibiotics to the creep ration. Good commercial I creep rations can be purchased in most sections of the state. Lambs will start eating grain when they are about two weeks of age. If older lambs are to be started on grain then only a small amount should be fed at first and increased gradually to avoid overeating troubles.
