c-oi. MCNear went again to the Pacific area in 1960, where he commanded the 508th USASA Group, Korea. In June of 1963 he assumed command of the U. S. Army Security Agency and the post at Vint Hill remaining there until he was succeeded by Col. Harold E. Otiker at the Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony January 31. His decorations include the Army Co mmendation Medal with two Oak Leaf clusters. Immediately upon his service retirement Col. Mrs. Hall visited Mrs. Myrtle Pulchine of Warrenton who is a patient in Winchester Memorial Hospital.
