Receives AF Medal
SSgt. Charles E. Smith, assigned to the Columbus branch of the Strategic Air Command Management Engineering Team at Columbus, Miss, was recently presented the United States Air Force Commendation Medal by Maj. James H. Keyes, for his meritorious service while stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB, N. C. He is the son of Mrs. Mabel Smith Hitt of Amls8ville, and has been in the Air Force for seven years. Assigned to the 68th Bombardment Wing at Seymour Johnson, Sgt. Smith distinguished him sen by meritorious service as wing manpower specialist and formal training clerk from 1964-66.
