This week, March 11-16 is Girl Scout Week and is celebrated with special activities by those groups. The Rappahannock Girl Scout Troop 380 has been organized a bit over a year and the Cadet Troop 393 was organized last September. Robin and Ginger Estes, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Estes, near Washington, are representative of the groups. In the past year the Girl Scouts have been involved in service projects to the community in addition to working hard to obtain merit badges. The local Troop attended a council meeting Saturday in Charlottesville, attended church Sunday in uniform, and will have an anniversary party at their troop meeting today. There are 19 Girl Scouts and 8 Cadets in the Rappahannock Troops.
