Kelso, owned by W. H. Lyne, Washington, Va. placed fifth in the Mid South Open fox hound field trial held last week near Lincolnton, Ga. This trial is noted as one of the toughest in the United States. Hounds are hunted for four consecutive days instead of the usual three. To place in the High General Average stake, a hound must be among the top fifteen in the Speed and Drive Class, as well as among the top fifteen in cither the hunting Class or the Trailing Class.
