If you do not receive a letter inviting you to join the Friends of the Library, it is because your name has not been submitted in time. This is a public invitation to join the group. All you need to do is mail or take a letter to the library indicating your interest in becoming a member. A contribution of your choosing will be helpful, and a gift of books is always welcomed. The library will need many more good books, especially recent works.
Soliciting Friends of the Library will become an annual event in March with emphasis on use by everyone in addition to financial support. Anyone wishing to assist asa volunteer this summer will be welcomed. Library hours now are Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
Shooting Matches
Shooting Matches will be held on the afternoons of March 23 and March 30 at l p.m. at the Washington Carnival grounds. Benefit of the Flint 11 ill Softball Team. Prizes: Pigs and Hams.
