The students of RCHS were not just “apple polishing" when they presented each faculty member with an apple oh Teacher Appreciatiort Dfcy at the school Friday. It was obvious that this and other gestures of the special day which included corsages or boutonnieres, an assembly program and luncheon were all warm and sincere. The day began with an assembly at which time teachers were given a standing ovation when they entered the auditorium. This was followed by a devotional given by Beth O’Bannon and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Stewart Hawkins. Janet Hackley, SCA president, made a short address of welcome to all. Teachers received their flowers from student representatives, as well as apples, notes and certificates of appreciation.
