DON’T LIME WITHOUT A SOIL TEST! Such can be dangerous. The chemical reaction of ground limestone never reaches its maximum in less than two years. Many of our soils hold lime and other improvements very well. Just recently, I had a soil test results come to hand: „ pH was 6.9, Calcum and Magnesium both Very High. Two tons of lime had been applied in 1967 without a soil test applied to land already •sweet" enough. By applying the two year rule this man can easily be in trouble. Too much of a good thing can often be harmful just the same as too little.
