Members of the Homemakers Clubs of Rappahannock join other clubs in the state in making tote bags ad gifts for fellow club members from all over the nation when the National Conference of Homemakers Clubs is held next year at Blacksburg. Each club in Rappahannock is asked to make five bags to help reach a quota of 3,000 for the meeting in ’69. Work on these began last week. They are made of strips of sturdy chair webbing embroidered with colorful yarns and sewed together. Working on Rappahannock’s quota are Mrs. Mary Cleverley, Flint Hill; Mrs. Amos Butler, Woodville; Mrs. Nora Sealock and Mrs. Maybelle Gilkey, Chester Gap; Mrs. Nelson Burner and Mrs. F. L. Bowey, Amissville, and Mrs. B. G. Titchenell, Woodville.
