April 1 for the 1968 sea son, Superintendent R. Taylor Hoskins announced this week. The Park head stated that while Shenandoah Is open throughout the year, weather permitting, entrance station operation and fee collection are maintained only during the period from April through O c to b e r. Entrance stations are located at Front Royal, Panorama, North Swift Run, South Swift Run, and Rockfish. The two visitor centers, at Dickey Ridge in the northern section of the Park, and the new Byrd facility in the Big Meadows area, will remain open to the public until early November. Hoskins said entrance fees will be the same as last year. The Golden Eagle Passport at $7.00 is valid from April 1, to March 31, 1969, and will admit the purchaser and all persons accompanying him in a private noncommercial vehicle to Shenandoah and more than 2,500 other F ed era 1 Recreation Fee Areas where carload fees are charged.
