Dear Editor:
We have some people in Rappahannock County that are so much interested in where we should have a quarry, move a service station, farmer's coop, etc., but never give the Sperryville Cemetery a thought. The weeds grow tall each year in the old part of the Cemetery, whichdoes not have perpetual care, as an eight (8) grave lot sold for only $10.00. I only wish some of our supposed to be good citizens would take time out, give a little thought to their parents, or grand-parents graves, and not always be trying to make it hard for the other fellow. It isn’t a pleasant job collecting and seeing that the Cemetery is kept up, especially since my services have been free since 1954 and without even a thank you.
