the Jaycees with special recognition going to the troop doing the best job. Also signs will be put up giving t'ne scouts of Rapp. Co. credit and to encourage everyone to keep these streams clean. We will try to pick up all trash between the stream and road, and the trash immediately along each side of the road. Any large concentrations of trash can be thrown directly into the truck as it comes around. The Sperryville troop will work the Piney Branch from the upper end of Rt. 600 down to the second bridge (the end of the hard surface). The Flint Hill troop will start at the bridge at D. M. Dwyer’s and work down stream to Rt. 600 (This is on Rt. 612). The Amissville troop will start at the end of the hard surface on Rt. 600 and work down stream. The Wash ington troop will start at the first Trout Waters sign just above Bradley Atkins Atlantic Service Station and work up stream to meet the Amissville troop. Some of these sections are much longer then others but have been si?t up according to the amount of litter. Some shifting may have to he done later in the day. All scouts are encourged to take part and to even bring along a friend. You may get him started in the scouts.
Plan on some hard work, some fun, plenty to eat and a whole lot of satisfaction.
