Thornbill Third in
State Swine Contest
C. G. Thornhill of Boston, with his litter of 10 pigs, placed first in the county and in the district and third in the state in the 56-Day Swine Utter Weight Contest for 1967. He is a member of the Rappahannock Senior 4-11 Club, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cordon Thornhill. C. O. has had swine projects in 4-11 for several years1 and last year was a county and district winner and placed fifth in the state. The contest is sponsored by the Virginia extension Service in cooperation with the Virginia I’urebred Swine Association. It is open to 4-11 and I T A members throughout the state, v Ills litter of ten haij an adjusted 56-day weight of 542.75 pounds. They were purebred Yorkshires.
