She was accompanied by Billy Drake. Mr. T-horpe gave his daughter in marriage. Her wedding gown, an original design created by the bride, was styled of Duchess Peau de sole and re-embroidered Alencon lace with an Empire waistline and fitted A-line skirt. Her bell sleeves were of sheer lace and scallops of lace outlined the sweetheart neckline. An appliqued border of lace trim med the hemline of the skirt. Rose appliques were applied to the bodice, skirt and train. Her train was attached to the gown with baby blue velvet. Her chapel veil fell from a headpiece of lace medallions and seed pearls highlighted with a Peau de sole bow. She carried a cascade of sweetheart roses, stephanotis and ivy. Miss Reba Faye Thorpe was her sister’s maid of honor. Her dress of lavendar serrano had an Empire waistline and fitted A-line skirt. It was designed with a scooped neckline and short sleeves. A loose back panel was attached at the waistline. Her headpiece was a veiled bow of the same fabric
