needs. One proposal brought about the club’s approval of a gift for $50 to the Amissville Boy Scout Troop. This money is to be used toward the expense of sending worthy but financially unable boys to attend scout camp. Those scouts qualifying for such assistance will be expected to match, in part, the “good deed” of the Ruritan Club. The plan is thus designed to develope initiative and character, and further, to give the boys a satisfaction of accomplishment justly awarded for hit industry and effort. One of the rules of scouting is “that with every right comes a responsibility*.
The Amissville Ruritan is a representative of the national organization now in 25 states, comprised of 34,000 members, standing 6th among the service club6 of America.
