Mr. and Mrs. Earl Atkins of Richmond visited relatives and friends in the county during the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer and son Freddie toured Mount Vernon and other points of interest in that area on Sunday. Dinner guests on Sunday of Mrs. Catherine Brown were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Payne of Alexandria, Miss Shirley Brown of Bethesda, Md., Mr. and Mrs. Benny Brown and daughter, Beverley of Winchester, Mr. and Mrs. Julian Brown of Culpeper and Clyde Atkins. Airman and Mrs. Francis Updike arrived on Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Updike’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. W. Schaefer. Mrs. Updike will graduate from Radford College on June 1. Airman Updike came from Amarillo Air Force Base, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. John Eubank, Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Boze, and David Layman chaperoned the senior class of Rappahannock County High on a weekend visit to Williamsburg.
