Bradley Atkins
Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Clore Funeral Home for Julius Bradley Atkins of Sperryville who died Wednesday, May 22, 1968 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital of a heart attack. He was 71. The Rev. Leonard S. Barnes and the Rev. L. S. Crawford officiated. Burial was in Sperryville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Irvin R. Kilby, Carson B. Johnson, Roy B. Leake, P. L. Thornton, Jr., Bobby Wilson Atkins, J. Rodes Brown, Frank L. Atkins Linwood Frye and C. E. Giles. Mr. Atkins was a World War I veteran and a member of Rappahannock VFW Post 1150. He was a merchant and serstation operator for 40 years in Sperryville. A lifelong resident of Sperryville, he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Maggie Dodson Atkins. . Mr. Atkins is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maybelle Deavers Atkins of Sperryville; a da ugh t$r, Mrs. Joseph H. Aylor of Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. E. A. Campbell of Sperryville and Mrs. Raleigh of Suit land, Md; two brothers, Herman B. Atkins of Luray and Hugh S. Atkins of Sperryville, three grandchildren and one gr ea t-gra ndchild.
