“Togetherness’' seemed to be the theme of the 4-H Horse and Pony Show held Saturday at Washington on the farm of Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead. Families some with more than one member participating in the show gathered for the activity and in several instances carried off championships. Pleasant weather prevailed and it was, all in all, a great day to be together. Oliver and Mike Brown of Reva were among the champions. Oliver took the honors in the Hunter Horse division and Mike was champion of the Hunter Large Pony classes and also captured the Reserve Champion in the Small Hunter Pony group. Brother, Charlie Brown also participated in the show. Alice and Brigid Cleary of Sperryville were Reserve Champions in the Large Hunter Pony and Hunter Horse categories, respectively. They are the daughters of Col. and Mrs. John E. Cleary. Sister, Deirdre, also participated in the show. Anne Baumgardner of Annandale and Washington, Va. took the Championship in the Small Hunter Pony group, and Linda Ann Payne of Culpeper championed in the Western division. Second in this group was Kathy Nickol of Luray.
