Today's social changes have caught many of us with great needs, but with little money and not enough knowlege to stem the tide. It is doubtful that any work in the Bible describes the needs of the average person today more accurately than what was said in John 6:9 concerning the lad's luncheon when the multitude of people needed food,..."but what is that among so many?" We look at the needs of local #57, our cities and our nation, then we think of our
resources and say,
is that among so many?" Mammoth needs and scanty resources is the summation of our plight. Think of it: struggles in the hills and swamps of Vietnam, rebellion in the streets, fires destroying buildings, anarchy, disregard for law and order, frustrated homes, and persons who rather forget the entire situation with the use of a pill or a needle. The solutions to these problems are within each individual as soon as he realizes that his scanty resources, orderly put together with the cement of prayer and love, not hate, for the other fellow, will become a bulwark for all. Now, this mood of response, ....“but what is that among so many?" is understandable indeed. A certain amount of it may be realistic and healthy, but like strychnine, while a little is a healthy stimulant to the patient, a large dose is fatal. It is the desire of everyone to live peacefully: rich or poor, white, black, or yellow. Let us try to understand the first things first. Man with all his know-how is still a bit" of dust in the presence of his Creator. Call him any name you choose. He is still God our Father, and man's purpose personal* "but what
