It’s the law—It shall be unlawful to destroy or molest the nest, eggs, dens or young of any wild bird or wild animal except predatory or undesirable species. It shall also be unlawful to hold captive any wild bird or wild animal without a permit to do so. This means simply that no animal or bird classed as a game animal or game bird and those animals classed as furbearers may be picked up or handled in any way as young, and may not be kept in any manner as young or as mature animals or birds. Those considered as game animals include bear, deer, foxes, squirrels and rabbits. Game birds include grouse, quail, turkeys, pheasants and all wild ducks. It is a great temptation to many people, foremost young boys, to try to catch wild animals and maybe take them home. As a result of handling or the prolonged holding of wild animals the animal often dies. This deprives the sports men of the chance to pursue
