■ Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hackley spent last Tuesday in Winchester and on Wednesday Mrs. Hackley accompanied Mrs. Mary Suter to Charlottes ville for a checkup. Mrs. Suter returned to her work Monday at Culpeper Manufacturing Co. after an extended leave of absence from illness and surgery. Sunday the Hackleys attended the Boswell-Doggett wedding in Remington. Carlton Davis of Chapel Hill, N. C. is visiting Mr. andMrs. Edward Hackley. Mr. and Mrs. Braxton James and family and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin James were Sunday guests of Mr. andMrs. Robert James at Brandy Station. David James entertained with a hay ride Saturday for about sixteen friends. They returned to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Braxton James, for refreshments. Mrs. Sarah Latham and Mrs. David Streagle entertained for dinner Sunday at the Streagle home near Washington. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kephart and Mrs. C. C. Cocker ill of Herndon and Charlie Jackson of Washington and Gladys, Va. Mrs. Diane Dietz of Arlington was a visitor Saturday afternoon of Mrs. Sarah Latham. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne were dinner guests Saturday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Giles in Warrenton.
