Einderwent surgery at the Uiuersity Hospital. Mrs. Charles Battaglia reurned to her home in Howard Beach, N.Y. Saturday after a two weeks visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor. She was accompanied to National Airport by Mrs. Aylor and Stevie Aylor and they spent the weekend in Falls Church with Mrs. Tommy Cozzo and Buddy Aylor. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood visited Mrs. Charles King in the Winchester Memorial Hos pital last Thursday. Mrs. Harry Smith of Alexandria was a weekend guest of Mrs. Perle Coffey. They were joined for dinner on Saturday by Mrs. Lester Dodson. The Official Board of the Sperryville Methodist Church met on Wednesday night with Mrs. F. D. Coffey. Those attending were the Rev. Edward Pruitt, Mrs. Virginia Lewis, Mrs. Julian Brown, Mrs. John Eubank, Mrs. Catherine Brown, Mrs. Lee Swindler, Mrs. Nina B; Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Devers. Mrs. Betsey Harrell and Miss Mamie Johnson were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Kight in Silver Spring, Md. Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hawkins attended graduation exercises May 25 for their son, Phil Hawkins at Oak Hill Academy, Mouth of Wilson, Va. He returned home with his parents for the summer.
