Single Vehicle Crash
Early Sunday Morning
Jeannie Elizabeth Smoot of Washington, Va. operating a 1967 Mustang ran off the right of the highway and struck a bank early Sunday morning. The crash occurred just east of Washington on Route 211.
According to Trooper A. Buntin, damage to the vehicle was set at $600 and Mrs. Ruth Clater, a passenger, sustained a back injury.
Trooper Buntin also investigated a vehicle found on fire near Castleton last week. The Ford was reported stolen by owner William Lee Towles of Culpeper Tuesday night and discovered burned Wednesday morning.

The American Red Cross Blood Bank will be at Trinity Church Parish Hall in Washington on Tuesday, September 3 from 1 to 6 p.m.
