Rep. Marsh Trains
At Ft. Benning
Rep. John 0. Marsh, Jr., is taking advantage of the national political convention recess of Congress to take a portion of his annual required active Army duty in connection with his status as an officer in the Virginia National Guard. Marsh, a National Guard Major with paratrooper qualification, is at Fort Benning, Ga., this week, but will be back in Washington for the resumption of the Congressional session, Wednesday, September 4.
While at Fort Benning, Marsh will lecture to several classes at the Army Infantry School, as he has in the past at a number of Army bases. In addition, he will take instruction in current infantry techniques, including a “refresher” parachute jump.
