Augsburger Featured Sunset Vesper Speaker

The final service in the 19681 Sunset Vespers series will be held on the lawn of the Luray Singing Tower Sunday, September 1 at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Mr. David Augsburger as the speaker. ! The service will be preceded by music from the bell Tower in a recital by Carilloneur Charles T. Chapman beginning at 7:00 p.m. Vespers start immediately following the recital. It is suggested that because a large gathering is expected at this busy holiday weekend worshippers should come early or bring folding chairs in order to be seated.

Associated with the broadcast since 1961, Mr. Augsburger counsels by correspondence and in person with hundreds of men and women each year. A young man in a “young world,” he has a deep compassion for the problems and tensions all men are facing in today’s society.
