Mrs. Alice Dorsey
W. B. Dennis, Jr. and sons Stephen and William B, III of Veto Beach, Fla. spent Saturday through Wednesday as the guests of his father the Rev. W. B. Dennis, while Mrs. Dennis and daughter Alice were in Philadelphia to be with her mother who was ill. Rev. W. B. Dennis’ daughter Mrs. H. T. Smoot and six children of Rome, N. Y. arrived Wednesday and attended the family reunion on Sunday. She has been visiting her brothers and sisters in Virginia. Mrs. R. W. Quaintance reports that her son Barton Quaintance has been transferred from the Chattanooga, Tenn. branch of the DuPont Company to the Waynesboro branch, where he has been advanced to Superintendent of Personnel. Mr. and Mrs. .Quaintance and six children will move next week and Mr. Quaintance will report for work the day after Labor Day.
Mrs. Oscar Dodson was at the University of Virginia Hospital on Monday for a check-up, following surgery. On Hiursday Mr. and Mrs. Dodson and their daughter-in-law Mrs. Oscar Dodson, Jr. of Culpeper visited Mr. Dodson, Jr. at the University Hospital where he underwent surgery that day.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jenkins and family had as their guest Saturday through Thursday Mrs. Jenkins’ mother Mrs. Vennie Dodson of Manassas.
Mr. and Mrs. Waver Kennedy had as recent week-end guests their son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Robert K. Kennedy and daughter Vicki of Eaton, N. C. who attended the Homecoming at the Slate Mills Baptist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Burroughs of Bowie, Md. are vacationing at their farm near Boston. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Butler, daughters Carol Sue and Angela, Mias Faye Burke and Paula Butler spent Monday and Tuesday at Colonial Beach. Mrs. Stevens E. Butler and children Stephanie and Douglas of Manassas spent a recent week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. Butin. Mrs. Olive Butler is a visitor this week.
