Davis III of Bowling Green and Miss Anne Jones of Fairmont, sister of the bridegroom, dressed in yellow; Mrs. Kyle Clifton of McLean and Miss Caroline Jones of Fairmont, sister of the bridegroom, both in gowns of green. All attendants gowns and headpieces were designed like that of the honor attendant and all carried lighted candles in hurricane lamps.
Thomas Cunningham Jones of Fairmont was/best man for bis brother. Groomsmen were George H. Davis III of Bowling Green, George Sebren of Norfolk, John VanLandingham and Hatton Nash of Portsmouth, Alfred Smith, Lewis White and Charles Taylor of Richmond, MacPherson Parrish of New York, John Kemper, Alexandria and David Allen of Clarksburg, West Virginia.
Stewart Hawkins of Washington was Acolyte and Miss Helen Kaye Johnston of Washington was mistress of ceremonies.
The mother of the bride wore a floor-length sheath of peach silk and worsted with a long coat in a deeper shade, matching accessories and veil pouff hat. Her jewelry was an heirloom gold and amethyst bib and matching drop earrings.
For her son’s wedding Mrs. Jones chose an apple green floor-length linen sheath with fitted bodice. She had matching accessories and hat and a lace stole.
A garden reception was held at the home of the bride.
Mr. and Mrs. Jones will make their home in Lexington, Virginia.
