All candidates elected in the Town of Washington in the July election have qualified and agreed to serve. Officers are: Mrs. Dorothy C. Davis, Mayor; Mrs. Virginia G. Miller, Treasurer; Mrs. Weiland Flynt, Mrs. Bertha Armel; Mrs. Edna Wayland; Mrs. Christine Johnston and Mrs. Dorothy Hawkins, Council members.
Commodity Center
Open Saturday
The USDA Commodity Distribution Center, Washington, Va. will be open Saturday, September 7, 1968 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the benefit of the heads of households who cannot get ip during the week for certification or recertification. The center will be closed Monday, September 2 for Labor Day.
