The third Northern Virginia “Make It Yourself With Wool” contest will be held at the War Memorial Building in Winchester, Va. on October 12, 1968.
Mrs. Madeline B. Myers, Extension Agent, Home Economics, Clarke County has announced the beginning time as 10:00 a.m. Entries will need to be registered with the garments in place by this time.
Entry classes will be (1) 2 piece suit, (2) coat, (3) dress in both Junior and Senior Divisions. No pants, ponchos or slacks are acceptable but a contestant may enter more than one category. A separate entry must be sent in for each garment. The entry form must be mailed by October 1, 1968.
Judges will select a winner in each category to compete in the j State contest. Their award is aj trip to Richmond to compete in the State contest. Entry blanks may be secured from stores I selling wool, from Extension Agents or by sending the request to American Wool, from Extension Agents or by sending the request to American Wool Council, Department WK-55, 520 Railway Exchange Building, 909 17th Street, Denver, Colorado 80202. The National Junior and Senior winner will win a two week vacation trip to Europe. Many prizes and scholarships are awarded to the winners at each I level of comoetition. I
