School reopened August 27 with an enrollment of three hundred thirty five students.
An assembly was held in the morning to introduce the new teachers and also Mr. Wingfield commented on some of the rules.
Abbreviated classes followed the assembly and school was dismissed at 2 p.m.
Mr. F. S. Boze has been appointed the new assistant principal and Mr. Richard Neff the new guidance counselor.
On August 19 the SC A held a coffee to welcome the new teachers to Rappahannock. On the following day another coffee was held by the SCA to honor the returning teachers.
On Friday a meeting was held by the Senior class. Class officers were elected and are as follows: President - Janet Hackley; Vice President Thomas Williams; Secretary - Steve Dement; Treasurer Debby Pullen; Reporter - Beth O’Bannon. There was discussion on whether or not to have a “Ring” dance.
